RIVER OF INSPIRATION

가나아트 사운즈는 국내외에서 활발히 활동 중인 7인의 작가를 초청하는 그룹전 ≪River of Inspiration≫을 개최한다. 

본 전시는 에디강 작가와의 협업을 통해 기획되었으며, COVID-19의 장기화 추세로 인해 일상에 지친 이들에게 쉼터를 제공하고자 하는 취지에서 비롯되었다. 

이번 전시는 박미나, 성낙희, 에디강, 안진균, 정영도, 윤주희, 유희, 7인의 RISD (Rhode Island School of Design) 출신의 작가들로 구성된 그룹전이다. 이들이 학창 시절 예술가로서의 미래를 꿈꾸며 거닐었던 캠퍼스 근처의 강변에서 수많은 예술적 영감을 받았던 것처럼, 본 전시를 통해 전시장을 방문하는 모든 이들에게 작지만 깊은 울림을 전달하고자 한다. 

회화, 일러스트레이션, 설치, 사진 등 다양한 장르의 작품을 한 자리에서 만날 수 있는 이번 전시는 한국 현대미술의 새로운 미래를 열어가고 있는 작가들의 독창적인 작품들을 실견할 수 있는 절호의 기회가 될 것이다.

Gana Art Sounds is pleased to announce ≪River of Inspiration≫ inviting 7 artists who are active all around the world. In collaboration with the artist Eddie Kang, the exhibition originated from the purpose of providing a shelter for those who are exhausted from the everyday life due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic. The special exhibition features Meena Park, Nakhee Sung, Eddie Kang, Jinkyun Ahn, Young Do Jeong, Joohee Yoon and Yoohee who are all graduates of RISD (Rhode Island School of Design). Just as their younger selves might have been inspired by the riverside near the campus where they used to stroll through dreaming of their future as artists, the exhibition space conveys small but deep inspirations for the visitors. The exhibition which offers a wide variety of genres of art such as painting, illustration, installation and photography will be a great opportunity to experience the creative minds from the artists setting up a new window for Korea’s contemporary art scene.
