경기창작센터 2010년 하반기 입주 작가 오픈스튜디오

17 (team) works by domestic and foreign artists and their processes simultaneously disclosed

After opening in October 2009, the Gyeonggi Creation Center, which operated the first residency program in 2010, will hold an open studio in the second half of 2010 over the next two days from February 18 to 19. In the first half of last year, a total of 28 artists (teams) participated, followed by 17 domestic and foreign artists (teams) in the second half of the year.

Over the past year, the Gyeonggi Creation Center has 33 visual artists and curators from home and abroad who have entered through public offerings, 5 invited artists, 21 artists invited through international exchange programs and regional cooperation programs, a total of 59 people. Participated. They participated in various cultural and artistic activities such as mentoring programs, regional cooperation programs, educational programs, and international exchanges, and performed their own work through individual tenancy periods from three months to one year.

In the second half of 2010, the open studios were Sang-woo Kang, Yong-gwan Kim, Min-ja Koo, Jin-sook Kim, Na-young Kim & Gregory Mars, Prohaska Reiner, Linda Albi, Jung-ki Min, Mi-kyung Park, Jun-sik Park, Eun-young Jung, Ji-mi Ahn & Bourok Lee, Soon-Jong Lee, Jiad Ta & Nyla Davaji. , Pavlina Mladenova, Cheon Dae-kwang, Hong Nam-gi, and 17 people (teams) participate, and the work concept and process, including the work results during the tenancy period, are disclosed to the public. Open Studio is meant to provide opportunities to experience and understand the artist's work process as well as various categories of contemporary art directly by revealing the on-site studio where the artist lives and works, not just an exhibition showing the results of his creation.

In addition to the opening of the artist's studio in this open studio, Austrian Rainer Prohaska's <Cooking Performance: Eat the World> will be held as a special event on the 18th and 19th at 4:00 pm. Through communication and sympathy through the participation of invited visitors on the site, you can witness the exciting world cooking experience and cultural exchanges that decorate the finale of the art performance.

The Gyeonggi Creation Center, which boasts a group of outstanding artists through the operation of the pilot and the first residency program, is designed to share the experimental art work of resident artists with the general public along with the open studio event in the second half of 2010. It plans to produce and distribute publications that report on artists' activities in the Gyeonggi Creation Center.

2009년 10월 개관 후 2010년 1기 레지던시 프로그램을 운영한 경기창작센터는 다가오는 2월 18일부터 19일까지 이틀간에 걸쳐 2010 하반기 오픈스튜디오를 개최한다. 작년 총 28명(팀)의 아티스트가 참여한 전반기 오픈스튜디오에 이어 하반기 오픈스튜디오에는 국내외 작가 17명(팀)이 참여한다.

지난 한 해 동안 경기창작센터에는 공모를 통해 입주한 국내외 시각예술가 및 큐레이터가 33명, 초청작가가 5명, 국제교류 프로그램 및 지역협력 프로그램을 통해 초청된 작가가 21명으로 총 59명이 1기 프로그램을 참여하였다. 이들은 멘토링 프로그램, 지역협력 프로그램,교육 프로그램, 국제교류 등 다양한 문화예술 활동에 참여하였으며, 3개월에서 1년까지 개별적인 입주기간을 통해 각자의 작업을 수행하였다.

2010 하반기 오픈스튜디오는 강상우, 김용관, 구민자, 김진숙, 김나영&그레고리 마스, 라이너 프로하스카, 린다 알비, 민정기, 박미경, 박준식, 정은영, 안지미&이부록, 이순종, 지아드 타&나일라 다바지, 파블리나 믈라데노바, 천대광, 홍남기 등 17명(팀)이 참여하며, 입주기간 동안의 작업 결과물을 포함하여, 작업 컨셉 및 과정 등을 일반인에게 공개한다. 오픈스튜디오는 단순히 창작 결과물을 선보이는 전시가 아닌 작가가 생활하며 작업하는 현장 스튜디오를 공개함으로서 예술가의 작업과정은 물론 동시대예술의 다양한 범주를 직접 경험하고 이해할 수 있는 기회를 제공하는 데 의미를 두고 있다.

이번 오픈스튜디오는 입주작가 스튜디오 오픈 외에 오스트리아 출신 라이너 프로하스카의 <요리 퍼포먼스: 세상을 먹어라>가 특별행사 이벤트로 18일과 19일 오후 4시 이틀 동안 마련되며, 작가가 직접 방문한 관람객을 초대하고, 초대받은 관람객의 현장 참여를 통한 소통과 공감으로 예술퍼포먼스의 피날레를 장식하는 흥미진진한 세계요리체험과 문화교류의 현장을 목격할 수 있다.

또한 오픈스튜디오 기간 중 작가들과 경기창작센터의 작품과 물품들을 판매하는 벼룩시장과 경매행사에도 참여할 수 있다.

파일럿과 1기 레지던시 프로그램 운영을 통해 우수한 작가 군을 자랑하는 경기창작센터는 이번 2010 하반기 오픈스튜디오 행사와 더불어 입주작가의 실험적인 예술 작업을 일반인과 함께 공유하고, 그들의 작품세계를 널리 홍보하기 위하여 2010 경기창작센터 입주작가 활동 보고 출판물을 제작 배포할 예정이다.

 Creation Center'Open Studio for Resident Artists'

The largest'Art Residency' Gyeonggi Creation Center in Korea, located in Daebudo, Ansan,  will hold a 'Residential Artist Open Studio' on the 13th and 15th to celebrate its 1st anniversary. During this period, the 29 artists in the center open their studios and works, so anyone can freely browse the studios of the resident artists and chat with the artists. On the 13th, the first day of the event, in the Multipurpose Hall of the Creation Center, a special lecture will be held by Director Bajif Kortun of the'Platform Garanti Contemporary Art Center' in Istanbul, Turkey, who is recognized for his broad perspective and keen insight on culture and art. The 'Embroidery Project' by the artist Kyungah Ham, and the group exhibition of resident artists including Sangeum Ko, Yonggwan Kim, and Annette Corwenberg will continue until the 31st. In the first half of this year, activity materials including educational programs, mentoring programs, international exchange and regional cooperation programs, etc., held at the Creation Center will be held.
