Mr. Park's Holiday

Writing a short text about the collaborative film "Mr. Park's Holiday" of Marcel Crabeels and Douglas Park, for Kim Kim Gallery in Seoul, Korea.

"Coincidental situations that inspire moments of on the spot improvisation almost eclipse the moments in which Douglas Park performs Douglas Park. Obviously, the felt discomfort of the staged and restaged performances is magnified by the strategical placing of the artist in the foot traffic of a tourist park, or on heavy rocks along the ocean by sundown in a composition that reminds of Caspar David Friedrich's paintings" (JVW, 2018)
