the foot/feathers installation

the official title:
"Fig. 12 An ethogram of swaying bounce display (video nos. 21685-21688)"

There's one file called 'installation-diagram.ai' that gives an overview with measurements of the entire installation.
Note: none of these placements have to be exact. Also: it's not like I'd notice if they were or not.

The foot diagram on the floor is a slightly bigger elaboration of that sample file I sent earlier. I've included two .ai files that are just 'templates' of the black and white footsteps. They can be printed on an A4 size paper and cut out individually and glued to the floor that way. (That's what I hope you were thinking would happen, versus printing out the entire foot diagram as a single sheet of paper and gluing that to the floor.)

The 'feathers' part of the diagram is this: pieces of newsprint taped on one end to the wall so that they flutter when a person walks or 'dances' by. (Nayoung, that's why I asked that question about the erotica newsprint.) The newsprint can be of any source, but I think it looks best when it has some tightly packed images on it. Over here I've been using supermarket circulars for testing (see photos) and I think that looks quite nice. So, either way you want to do it is fine with me. (even a mix of newspaper erotica and supermarket coupons could be very interesting) It just has to be newsprint, which I think is light enough to move even at the slightest puff of wind. The 'feathers' are each about as tall as an A4 paper but half the width, with a wedge/triangular shape cut out of one end. (It doesn't have to be exact.) I include a template for this as well. There needs to be roughly 144 feathers. It should be built row by row, one after another, starting with the bottom-most row that is 60 cm from the floor.

The footsteps should be a fairly close distance to the wall, so that the movement causes the feathers to flutter. The two parts should run parallel to each other.

Placing this in a high-traffic area would be ideal.
