Instant Noodle, Mie Instan

KUNCI STUDY FORUM AND COLLECTIVES, Yogyakarta
11 November 2019. 4 -7 PM

Presentation and cooking session of a Seoul based artist Minja Gu.
She will cook 60 Indonesian instant noodles.

Minja Gu’s work is based on personal performances that observe and question daily behaviors, which in turn are projected through various media including photography, video, installation, and drawing.
She participated recently SeMA Biennale_Mediacity Seoul 2018, Korea Artist Prize at Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Korea, OK VIDEO Jakarta 2017 etc.

At KUNCI, Gu and KIM KIM GALLERY will give an exclusive close-up introduction to Gu’s works dealing with food. The session includes Minja Gu performing a cooking session, followed by an introduction to her work and about her recent interest in instant noodle.
It’s her second work relating to Indonesian cuisine, after “The Agency and the Ecstasy” with Kim Kim Gallery in 2018,  which took place in Korea.

Supported by Gyeonggi Cultural Foundation

The workshop is about Categorizing, Analyzing and Deconstructing of 60 Instant Noodles found by Minja Gu in Yogyakarta.
