🌞 DRY OR DIE 🌞___December 3, 2022

5-10 participants gather and create garland/geumjul as a little ritual of wishes for a smooth and healthy fermentation process throughout the week. We will ask each participant in advance of the workshop to bring a dried ingredient from home. Using the ingredients brought from our own home in South Korea, we will create a garland with hybridized materials.







🍶BREW OR DIE 🥃___December 7, 2022

Participants gathered and brewed rice wine, using the danyangju recipe from South Korea hacked with their own ingredients in their own ways. We prepared for ingredients such as Rooibos, dried mangos, dried apricots, artichoke flowers and dried sage in Johannesburg. Using both materials from Johannesburg and regions in South Korea, we brewed rice wine with hybridized materials.
