Brief talk with Velaslavasay Panorama Founder & Artist Sara Velas. 6:30pm
Spend an evening inside the elusive Frontier Saloon of the Velaslavasay Panorama (www.panoramaonview.org), a living installation of a hinterland public house on the edge of the imaginary Far Southwest, Far East and Far North. In honor of the VP’s 25-years of Spring, the Frontier Saloon comes to life with amusements by Sham Eliot, Mild Bill the Singing Cowboy, and Sara Velas leading a short introduction on the legacy of panoramas in Los Angeles, a heritage of which the Velaslavasay Panorama plays a starring role.
Sara Velas' talk was introduced by the automaton Professor Theodore Gallagher III and Duchess Nayoungim, played by Gregory Maass & Nayoungim.
