1990년대부터 현재에 이르기까지 작가 정서영의 조각적 실천에 대한 책 《정서영: 오늘 본 것》이 2022년 서울시립미술관에서 열린 정서영의 개인전 <오늘 본 것>과 연계하여 출간되었습니다. 전시에 대한 기록 이상으로, 이 책은 정서영의 조각적 실천을 공시적(共時的)이고 통시적(通時的)으로 고찰함으로써 작가가 다루는 세상의 문제들이 어떻게 전환되었는지 추적합니다. 도록에는 전시에서 선보였던 출품작들과 함께 장지한(미술사학자), 추스 마르티네즈(FHNW 학과장 및 Der Tank 디렉터)의 글과 작가 김성환과 정서영의 대담이 수록되어 있습니다.

The monographic survey of Chung Seoyoung’s sculptural practice from the 1990’s up to the present is published in conjunction and response to Chung’s retrospective exhibition held at the Seoul Museum of Art in 2022. More than an exhibition documentation, the publication traces how the problems of the world that the artist deals with have transitioned by considering Chung Seoyoung’s sculptural practice in both synchronic and diachronic manner. The book includes essays written by art historian Jihan Jang, head of FHNW and director of Der Tank Chus Martinez, and a conversation with artist Sung Hwan Kim.
